2020 IDP Rankings - Defensive Tackles (Redraft)

Listed below are my 2020 Defensive Tackle Rankings for IDP Redraft Leagues. I will periodically update these throughout the off-season to reflect changes in free agency, defensive schemes, playing time, draft selections, etc. However, keep in mind that the information listed here is just a small sample of a much larger set of rankings and descriptions that are accessible through purchasing my 2020 IDP Fantasy Football Draft Guide.

Scoring System:
Solo Tackle = 1.5 points
Assist = 0.75 points
Tackles for Loss = 2 points
Sack = 4 points
Interception = 5 points
Forced Fumble = 4 points
Fumble Recovery = 4 points
Pass Deflection = 1.5 point
Defensive TD = 6 points
Safeties = 2 points

1Aaron Donald DT - LAR (9), +1 vs. ECR
Donald's numbers came back down to Earth last year after a historic 2018 effort in which he registered a whopping 20.5 sacks. The fairly dramatic drop in tackle production is somewhat concerning, but the talent here is just too strong to keep Donald out of the top defensive tackle spot.

2DeForest Buckner DT - IND (7), -5 vs. ECR
Buckner has been a terror for opposing interior lineman since entering the league in 2016 and has had back-to-back top 10 DL fantasy finishes. His value takes a slight hit in moving to a less dominating Colts defense, but he still has a serious pass-rushing threat in Justin Houston to keep defenses somewhat honest.

3Chris Jones DT - KC (10), -3 vs. ECR
Jones has amassed 24 sacks over his last two seasons - an impressive feat for a tackle of his size. There's always the fear that compliancy will set it after signing a massive contract ($85 million) but Jones is in one of the better pass-rushing situations in the league with opposing teams likely being forced to throw the ball at league-high numbers against the Chiefs.

4Grady Jarrett DT - ATL (10), +8 vs. ECR
Jarrett is coming off a career season in which he posted highs in tackles (38/31) and sacks (7.5). He lacks the upside of others in his ranking range but should provide steady, if unexciting, DL3+/DL2- value. There's other guys I'd target here, but if you are a conservative drafter, this Clemson alum isn't a bad option.

5Kenny Clark DT - GB (5), -7 vs. ECR
The Packers' scheme is anything but fantasy friendly for their defensive lineman, so it's not a surprise that Clark is continually overlooked in drafts. But he's been extremely consistent as a DL3 over the last three seasons. During that time, he's posted stat lines of 33/23/5, 34/21/6, and 32/29/6 and we should count on that again from the 24-year old. He's a classic non-exciting, but dependable selection.
