These Rest of Season IDP Rankings are designed to give you an approximate value of a player's worth for the remaining games of the season. Having an idea of a player's future value will allow you to judge potential trade offers and waiver wire decisions in a more discerning manner.

These rankings will be updated each Thursday to reflect injuries, playing time changes, role changes, scheme changes, etc.

*****These rankings are based upon the balanced IDP scoring system listed below:

Scoring System:
Solo Tackle = 1 point
Assist = 0.5 point
Sack = 3 points
Interception = 4 points
Forced Fumble = 2 points
Fumble Recovery = 2 points

Don't see Jared Allen on any of your rankings (Week 4 or Rest of Season). With his new increased role in Carolina, where do you see him slotting in?

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Jason Hall
He's not listed because he's classified as a LB by the platform I use to publish my rankings. He's a DL3 in my book ROS. More of a boom/bust DL4 this week and next as he gets up to speed.

Where do you rank Mack supposing he's DE/DL eligible?

Brent Deangelis said...

hicks or worrilow?

Jason Hickman said...

Guru! What is going on with JJ Watt? I spent a really high pick on him. Is he getting quadruple teamed? Getting close to trading him. Help! Thanks!

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Jason Hickman
He's on pace for 60+ solos, 20+ assists, and shouldn't have trouble getting 15 sacks. I wouldn't be worried about him at all. Even the very best of DLs have some down games. Colts were double teaming him all night.

Whats with Deandre Levy at #5?

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Cassady Kissam
I update this on Thursdays so this is reflective of his latest injury re-aggravation. He will be dropping.

Who is better ROS, Khalil Mack or Aaron Donald? Mack is listed as a DL in my league.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@patsfan
I'd give Mack the slight edge.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Walimba
Richardson and Tuitt

Who to start DL(week6); 1.5/tackle .75/assist 2.0/sack. Sheldon Rochardson vs Washington, Muhammad Wilkerson vs Washington, Ryan Delaire vs Seahawks, or Ezekiel Ansah vs Chicago

Williams Hayes Rams not top 50 DL?

He'll probably make his way in there when I update them tonight.

Who gets more tackles for the rest of the season: Dansby or Wilhoite ?

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Curt David
Depends on what you mean by tackles? Total tackles? Solos? Assists? If it's solos, Wilhoite will get more than Dansby as the ladder racks up assists and a fairly equal rate to solos. If it's total tackles, then Dansby probably. But overall, I think Wilhoite will hold more value.

What is going on with Lavonte David? I drafted him high and he's been very average thus far. Not sure if he's a must start any more (I also have Bowman, Daryl Smith, and Erick Kendricks). Thanks.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Unknown
I wrote about this in my weekly waiver wire article this week if you want to check that out.

What do you think of Vontaze Burfict going forward after the Thursday night game? He has looked good to me but hasn't quite blown up the box score yet. I think I saw he had 70% of the defensive snaps for the Browns game.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Devin A
He played about 75% of snaps and missed some due to leaving with an injury. He's in the boom/bust LB2 tier for me right now.

IDP Man said...

At this point, would you hold onto Eric Kendricks or do you think with the rib injury, he is going to fall off the rest of the season?

Unknown said...

no kawann short?

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@IDP Man
He's been very ambigous about his injury which makes me think it will be multi-week. It's unknown if they are broken or not. I'm sticking with him for now in the hopes we get more details this weekend.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Unknown
That was an oversight on my part. He will be added during my update later tonight.

Colin McCreary said...

Hi Ryan, appreciate the hard work as always. Was wondering, Im in a tackle heavy league (with a 5 point bonus for every 5 TT), would you still suggest Weddle over Cyprien? Obviously both have a bit of a limited sample size due to injury but I see Weddle as having the higher ceiling while Cyprien is more match up based.

Thanks

Olivier Vernon has been doing quite well since their bye (outside of week 7). What do you think of him ROS? Chris Baker has been putting up solid points every week as well. Both much better than Cameron Jordan ranked way above them.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Matt Howard
I like Vernon has a DL2 and Baker as a high floor DL3. Jordan has been more up and down but has the potential for a 3 sack game which gives him the upside edge over the two listed. Only takes one big game from a DL to jump them up the rankings.

Unknown said...

Where is Derek Wolfe?

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Unknown
He will be added once I update the ROS rankings tomorrow.

Dustin Welch said...

Guru, I added Josh Norman early in the season when you recommended him but he seems to be getting the Revis treatment now. Would you drop him for Bashaud Breeland in a tackle heavy league? Thanks

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Dustin Welch
Yes, I'd drop him for Breeland.

Justin Loiland said...

With poslushy having a broken hand would that make Derrick Johnson or even Sean lee better options the rest of the way?

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Justin Loiland
Posluszny is out so I would roll with Lee or Johnson. Both are good plays.

Justin Loiland said...

@Ryan Sitzmann let's say posluszny plays next week and the week after. Do you still like Johnson and Lee better? I am just thinking from a safety standpoint it might be better to pick one of them up because even if poz plays I have to wonder how useful he would be.

Jason Stinnett said...

I'm in the same boat Justin. Trying to decide wheter to roll with Johnson or Poz

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Jason Stinnett
I give Johnson the slight edge.

Guru, what do you make of DeMarcus Lawrence these past three weeks? IDP keeper league and wondering if this is a legit break-thru and sustainable (or just more of a blip and by-product of Greg Hardy getting more attention)?
