AJ Klein started over Chase Blackburn this week.

I am curious about J. Hankins (DT-NYG). He appears to play more snaps than the two listed DTs and has accrued substantive points. Is there some concern about his long-term snap count? Thanks

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@David Reeb
Yes, Hankins is actually the starter over Patterson. I've updated it to reflect this change. He's DL4+/DL3-.

MITCHELL I have been doing my own IDP pts vs by position for years now because the information is so helpful and unavailable. Compiling the data is extremely time consuming, so thank you for this website. I actually further break down the pts to 3-4 DE/OLB/ILB and 4-3 DE/DT/OLB/MLB. Wondering, have you have considered doing the same?

My question is how would you rank J.Peppers, D.Morgan, K.Wimbley and S.McClellin for leagues they are DL eligible?

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Mitchell Horne
I've considered it, but it's hard to find the data readily available in a digestible format.

I'd rank them Peppers, Morgan, Wimbley,and McClellin.

Mitchell Horne said...

Yes, it most certainly is, not to mention the fact that players often will move from OLB in a 3-4 to DE in their sub packages, for example. Would have to watch every game to get the numbers exactly right. For my own purposes, i make an educated guess lol.

If you could, I would love to know how you would view ea one as far as being a DL2- or DL3, etc for the rest of the season. Thanks again for everything

Is is time to drop Stevie Brown? I have Wagner, L. David, Foote, Jenkins, Weddle, Berry, R. Jones and Stevie. Brown's been the biggest disappointment of the bunch. Amakumara is available.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Kent Boring
Yes, it's time to move on. Pick up Amukamara.

Gotz said...

Which 2 of the 3 would you roster (Obviously not to start this week,)
Foote, Kendricks or Trevathan

Bryan Choate said...

Is Marshall droppable now that it looks like Trevathan is back? I'm limited on LB spots, so I don't think it's feasible to roster both, unless we think Burfict is droppable.

Karl Schneider said...

I think Prince Shembo needs to be listed for ATL as he's starting to steal time and is still in an open competition for the long term role. He also ranks higher from an on the field production perspective (per snap basis), and if they know what they're doing in ATL, he's the long term MLB there.

Sridhar Mandyam said...

I'm confused with ranking of Preston Brown (reads LB4+/LB2+) - can you clarify?

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Gotz
Kendricks and Trevathan ROS

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Bryan Choate
I think Marshall is droppable if you need a spot to open up.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Karl Schneider
Shembo has taken over the starting role from Bartu. He will be added in the next round of updates today or tomorrow. Thanks.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Sridhar Mandyam
I like his range very wide because his situation is so unsettled at the moment. If he starts (still TBD), he's a LB2+. If not, LB4+ if that. With Rivers back, he got sent back to a subpackage only role, but then Bradham got hurt so he took over for him. Don't know why the coaching staff is hesitant to play him full time but that's what it looks like is happening. Situation is clear as mud right now.

Hey Ryan, I think you published the rankings from last week. Your excel says "Published on October 4th". Thanks

jlatino said...

Also, I'm not sure about how others feel about this but I definitely prefer the old rest of the season rankings style compared with the new style.

M.D. said...

Nigel Bradham put up another nice game.. I think he needs to be owned.. LB3+

Jason Schwenker said...

Jon Beason or Connor Barwin for the rest of the season? T=1.5; A=0.75; SK=6; PD=2; INT=5; FF/FR=3 each.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Jason Schwenker
Beason. Outside of last week's game, Barwin hasn't shown much since arriving in Philly.

Jason Schwenker said...

Thanks!

Why so low on Emmanuel Lamur? I feel like if he's healthy he is certainly better and D. Ryans, P. Riley, and D. Butler... Is lack of staying on the field equated into his Ranking?

M.D. said...

@Jason S. I just read an article that quoted Jon Beason saying hes 50/50 on season ending surgery

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@M.D.
He has to compete with Burfict and Rey for tackles and that limits his upside in my eyes. If Burfict misses time or Maualuga returns quick than expected, I'll bump him up.

M.D. said...

Well Emmanuel Lamur is starting this week, I'm projecting 7 solo tackles and 3 assist. Rey has been the backup all year from the games and snaps that I've watched.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@M.D.
Rey will start this week as well. He's playing in replace of Rey Maualuga at MLB.

M.D. said...

Ya you were exactly right. Crazy tackling day all around on the Bengals side.. I played against Big Ben and Fitzgerald and Well it didn't matter..

Andy Ralph said...

why is Timmons ranked so far down he's be on fire lately.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Andy Ralph
He got bumped up. Only thing I'm worried about is as Shazier gets healthier, him eating into some tackles. Plus Timmons has been a bit inconsistent throughout his career. Still a very solid LB2 option though.

Nick Beckman said...

Any thoughts on Jonathan Newsome from Ball State playing for Indy? Yahoo leagues list him as a DL/LB and he's getting his reps at OLB (mainly due to injuries). Seems to be playing well - any thoughts on if he'll stay relevant? LB points in a DL slot are always a bonus.

John Manner said...

What do you think about Clay moving to MLB and having 9+2 tackles and a sack? Is it permanent, and will it affect his value? Thanks!

Daniel Cairns said...

Seriously how is chris Borland not in the top 80 going forward? The dude is a beast!

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Daniel Cairns
He will be in the top 10 once I make updates for this week, just haven't gotten to it yet.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@John Manner
I think he's a bonafide LB1 if he sticks there. The million dollar question this week is if that move was a temporary wrinkle to throw off the Bears or something more permanent. My guess is that he sticks (65% confidence).

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Nick Beckman
I think he probably goes back to the bench once the Colts get healthy at the OLB position. DL3+ as long as he continues to get playing time, however.

Brian McGrath said...

Do you have any insight in to why Dansby is not being very Dansby this year? It is tough not starting him, but I don't have that fuzzy feeling inside starting him like I did last year. I know it is a different team, but I didn't think it would affect his tackles that much.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Brian McGrath
Cleveland stat crew tends to lean assist heavy, lessening his value in leagues that don't reward much/at all for assists. Different scheme as well. He was a big beneficiary of Horton's scheme. He's also had some bad matchups as of late. He should get back on track this week with a very strong Houston matchup (may be not as strong with Arian Foster out though).

Devin said...

With William Moore coming back to practice and potentially the game this week, which Atlanta Safety is the one to own going forward through playoffs? Ishmael or Moore?

jlatino said...

@Devin

I second that question. But probably better if you can wait this week out and put them on your bench.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Devin
Agree with jlatino. I think there's a good chance Moore returns this week and he probably cuts into Ishmael's playing time. Ishmael is hard to bench at this point as he's been very productive as of late, we should know more latter in the week after getting a few practice reports.

Jacob Wiemelt said...

@Ryan Sitzmann

Your thoughts on Telvin Smith in high tackles league against Forsett and the Ravens? Or Mosely vs Jax or Jamie Collins... I'm leaning Collins but I like Telvin Smiths potential..

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Jacob Wiemelt
Tough call. I'm going Mosley though. Jaguars have given up a ton of points (#1 most) to LBs. Granted, that is primarily though big plays, but Mosley has big play upside, so I like his changes for a big week.

jyager said...

Hey guru! Do you like Ryan Clark over TJ Ward and Ryan Mundy with Meriweather out? Also available is Kemal Ismaeal if Willy Moore is out and Antrell Rolle? I know its a tough call just asking for a gut call I guess. Tackle heavy
