What are your thoughts on Zach Brown? Surprised to see he didn't crack your top 30?

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Jason Hall
I like him and had him in the top 30 for my draft rankings. Just barely gets bumped out this week due to matchup. Not sure how effective Pitt is going to be running the ball.

David Gonzalez said...

James Harrison? Am I just crushing on him thinking he should be a top 20 LB?

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@David Gonzalez
I've always like Harrison more than my IDP counterparts, but I don't consider him a top 40 linebacker at this point. He's old and injury prone as of late. Plus, he's only going to be playing two downs.

Lavonte David with a favorable matchup and he gets ranked 27th?

Msigns said...

in a flex D spot.. I have Brad Jones- who is Questionable.
I have to drop him if I'm picking someone else up and hope I can swoop him back up on waivers.

considering Nick Roach, Janoris Jenkins, Aaron Williams, or Searcy.. who do u take?

Nate said...

Should I be worried about Brad Jones's status for game 1 and the season overall?

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@87782d68-17c8-11e3-86eb-000bcdcb8a73
Jets were a good matchup last year, but I'm skeptical about their matchup value this year. There's a chance their offense is going to be even worse, especially early on and I'm not sure if they will run enough plays for David to have a top 15-20 week.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Msigns
I'd pick up Roach.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Nate
I would definitely be looking for a replacement.

Brent Deangelis said...

a replacement for the season or for the week for jones?

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Brent Deangelis
I think Roach has the same seasonal value as Jones, so I'd be fine making it for the season.

Ben Pulliam said...

So, do you think Fokou is a year long performer? Should I pick him or Kiko Alonso? thanks,Ben

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Ben Pulliam
I like Fokou this week against Houston. Great matchup. Long-term not as much. He is an every down backer for the time being though.

footguy said...

How many downs do u think Angerer will play if at all?? Ty

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@footguy
Before the injury, there was a good chance he was going to play every down. If he plays, I expect him to rotate out, so probably not worth a pickup at this point.

SinVin said...

You've been hyping Donald Butler and now he gets the #1 ranking.

Should I drop either Derrick Johnson or Paul Posluszny for him???

John Kessanis said...

LB- Roach
DL- C. Jones

Where would you rank Suggs in a league that heavily rewards sacks and forced turnovers?

N said...

Hi Ryan,

Are you going to do the rest of season value piece this year? That thing was awesome!

What do you make of Timmons after his disappointing performance last week? He's got to get better right? Especially with Foote out?

Someone dropped him in my tackle heavy league. Don't know if he'd be a big season long upgrade over Roach or Freeman.

Thanks,
Nate

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@SinVin
I still like Johnson and Poz better, but Butler has a great matchup this week against the Eagles high-paced offense.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@John Kessanis
I'd put Riley in there for Roach.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Gregory Thomas
Suggs would be around 15ish.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@N
Yes, ROS Rankings will be back this year. Thanks for asking. Timmons typically starts slow than explodes, so I wouldn't drop him by any means, but if he has another mediocre stat line, I'd seriously think about benching him.

Carlos Donado said...

where do you have mason foster ranked week 2?
if you had to pik 4 LBs put of the following 5 which would you pick?
1 Laurinaitis
2 Burfict
3 Mason Foster
4 Mychal Kendricks
5 Donald Butler

xtjp760 said...

Kendricks....E Henderson....Alonso....B Jones....pick 2 sir.!

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Carlos Donado
Foster in the 35ish range. Start everyone except Foster.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@xtjp760
Jones and Kendricks

N said...

Thanks Ryan.

Kendricks or Roach ROS?

Thanks,
Nate

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@N
Kendricks more upside. Roach safer play. Risky go Kendricks, conservative go Roach.

Ben Strauss said...

Thoughts on Pat Angerer coming back this week? I have him Dent, Roach, KJ Wright, Mason Foster, Dumervil. Need to choose 4. Thanks.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Ben Strauss
I think he has a good chance to play every down, maybe not this week but probably next. I'd go with Dent, Roach, Foster, Angerer.

HBadger said...

Woodyard, Jones, Roach - Pick two for this week.

Thanks guru!

Ron Biz said...

I miss your ROS rankings. Are you going to start that up again soon?

Scott said...

I'm going nuts...can't decide on who to go with...please help...N.Bowman is in...got two more slots to fill from the following LB's:

L.Timmons
M.Fokou
B.Jones
N.Roach
A.Dent
D.Smith

Also, if you had to drop/trade 2 for the season, which 2 and in what order? Thanks...A TON!!!

Josh said...

Do you think Alec Ogletree can continue to pile up tackles? Is he a better play than say Daryl Smith of BAL?

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@HBadger
Woodyard and Jones (assuming Woodyard plays).

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Ron Biz
Hopefully sometime this weekend they will be up.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Scott
Timmons (he typically has good games against Cincy) and Brad Jones. I'd probably drop Fokou and then Smith in that order.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

I think he can be a solid LB3+. I think he may wind up being a better play than Smith when all is said and done. Although I expect some inconsistency.

RTran0802 said...

timmons, woodyard, b. carter ROS?

Ben Lowe said...

Gotta pick 4 of my lb's while waiting for bostic and brown to win their starting mlb jobs in chicago and baltimore. In the meanwhile I have

Dent
Smith (bal)
Foster
Robertson

starting over

Phillips
Dumervil
Woodley
Davis (car)
Hali

Robertson/Dumervil over Robertson is where I'm stuck

Lee Aaron said...

B Jones, E Henderson, Woodyard

I must start 2 this week, balanced scoring league.. Who should I go with guru? Thanks.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@RTran0802
Woodyard. Timmons still has high upside, but too inconsistent for me to place him above Woodyard ROS. Close though.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Ben Lowe
Big play, I'd go Dumervil or Robertson. Otherwise, keep as is.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Lee Aaron
Jones and Woodyard (assuming he plays).

Lee Aaron said...

Hey Ryan.

Big fan of the site. Need your help going into tonight. Down 15 points and have Burfict and Timomons. I see you have Burfict ranked higher.

Who would you play?

prafeston said...

I've got Bobby Wagner and I'm not happy with his two pretty dud weeks so far. I don't like holding on to people that are producing. Should I drop him for someone else on the up? Here are some I've had my eye on on the WW.

Kiko Alonso, Philip Wheeler, Zach Brown, Mason Foster, Alec Ogletree, Karlos Dansby, Trent Cole (Listed as a DE/LB I could actually play him in the DE spot over Charles Johnson or Carlos Dunlap).

My other LB is D'Qwell...he hasn't been a complete dud, but he's not performing up to what I was hoping for. Could drop him for one of these guys too. What do you thing?

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@7d283a04-4160-11e2-8085-000bcdcb5194
Yah, Timmons is inconsistent the Bengals may be a bad matchup (although he has historically done well against them). Burfict is the safer play. If 15 points is a lot in your league, I'd play Timmons as he has the higher ceiling. If 15 points is a fairly reasonable week for a LB, I'd go Burfict.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@prafeston
Yah, Wagner is a bit troubling as the Seahawks defense isn't probably going to be on the field a lot. That said, it's dang hard to drop him. I like to wait three weeks before dropping a stud personally as two bad weeks a lot of the time can be an aberration.

prafeston said...

On the other hand I hate to hold off another week just so see another team snag one of my favorite prospects from the WW? Any of the guys I listed seem a better fit than Wagner or D'Qwell?

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@prafeston
In my eyes, no. But I tend to be more conservative on the waiver wire.

SinVin said...

Brian Cushing put up 30 pts in our league this week. Should I drop Derek Johnson for him?

I still have Posluzny regardless.

Mark Anderson said...

What's the read on Ryan Kerrigan. I heard he was the best looking player (period) in Redskins camp and he is off to a monster start. Is he worthy of a weekly start?

N said...

Hi Ryan,

I see that you have Wheeler ranked high. Do you think he will be better than Ellerbe ROS? Thanks.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@SinVin
In leagues that are more big play slanted, yes. Otherwise, I like Johnson more from a straight tackle perspective.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Mark Anderson
Depends on scoring system. In balanced leagues, he's more a matchup type LB3. In big plays leagues, he's launched himself into LB2 with upside consideration.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@N
I have them about the same with Wheeler driving more consistency. If I had to say, I like Wheeler more ROS.

xtjp760 said...

drop Kendricks for Daryl Smith?

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@xtjp760
I've mainly focused on this week, then yes.

Patrick Carpenter said...

Hey Ryan,

Should I drop Wagner for Jerell Freeman or Philip Wheeler? Laurenitis is also available but this is more a big play league and Laurenitis hasn't been so hot. And also how would you rank these guys based on the stats given below. Mychal Kendricks, Jerell Freeman, Laurenitis, Philip Wheeler and Vontaze Burfict. Thanks.

Blocked Punt, PAT or FG (BLKK) 2
Each Interception (INT) 5 Each Fumble Recovered (FR) 4
Each Fumble Forced (FF) 5 Each Safety (SF) 2
Assisted Tackles (TKA) 0.5 Solo Tackles (TKS) 1
Stuffs (SF) 2 Passes Defensed (PD) 3

Hey Ryan,

Also, how would Ryan Kerrigan rank with those guys. How do you feel about him in my league's point x. Thanks so much.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Patrick Carpenter
I project Houston for 12-15 sacks. I like him a lot. Woodyard should have a top 25 season at LB. But may not have as much tackle opps as he did last year.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Stevencruz210
Start Pollard and Brown

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Jason R
Briggs

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Ryan Barsotti
I'd probably drop Woodyard for Alonso. It's close, however.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@80cdf5ac-2163-11e3-be6f-000bcdcb8a73
Kerrigan is an LB3+ in big play leagues. LB4+ is balanced.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@3fd8ff32-210f-11e3-bc03-000bcdcb2996
Stick with Wagner, still better than WW options available. Weird that you guys don't get points for sacks.

James L., Freeman, Burfict, Wheeler, Kendricks

80cdf5ac-2163-11e3-be6f-000bcdcb8a73 said...

Hey Ryan,

Sorry, I forgot to say we get 4 points for sacks. But I guess you'd still keep Wagner ahead of all those guys I mentioned. Thanks for your help. You're the best.

Guru:

First time commenter - longtime guru wisdom reciever.

I have Sean Lee, Lauranitis, and Fletcher - which do you think I should start at LB this week.

scoring: Tackles points are consistant - but strong bonus points for plays like Pass Defended, sacks ect.

I have been a bit dissapointed recently - so looking for some guru wisdom. Just need some consistency - yet not afraid to go big or go home.

Thank you!

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@The Jeltema Family
I think James L is the way to go. He's due for a strong tackle performance and he has the benefit of being on the road.

Richard Mazahreh said...

your website is fantastic. I've never played IDP until this year and thanks to your rankings my team now looks like this and is producing;

LB1: NaVorro Bowman
LB2: Wesley Woodyard

DL1: Mario Williams
DL2: Carlos Dunlap

DB1: Mathieu
DB2: Woodson

One last question; I have Bowman, Woodyard, and Willis on my team. Willis is under performing and injured. For the long term, do you recommend I stay with Woodyard? I have Donald Butler on waivers too, and he's healthy and probable for this weeks matchup. I'm a huge fan of his upside. Obviously Bowman is always going to start, but out of the other 3 who would you recommend investing in for the long term? (Willis, Butler, Woodyard?)

Forts said...

@Richard Mazahreh

I'd stick with Woodyard easily over Butler. Lots of tackle ops for Denver D and Woodyard is the superior player

Djballz said...

Hey Ryan!!

Firstly thank you for your articles!! great job!1

Here is my Q : I need to start 2 of the 4 LBs i got for this week .. Ive got cushing (starting) , wagner, J freeman and burfict...

Im gonna start cushing but have trouble deciding the other one!! Wagner has a great matchup against HOU but has been a dud so far and does not blitz as well (no sacks).. whereas freeman has 3 already with a good number of tackles! burfict being a safe 8 tackle guy!! can you help?? thanks!!

Djballz said...

@Djballz

Wagner vs HOU

Cushing vs SEA

Burfict vs browns

Freeman vs Jags

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Djballz
Wagner had a decent week last week and the matchup is strong enough for me to start him along with Cushing.

Jason R said...

Guru, Ellerbee or Briggs as lb4 this week? Thanks! U da man!

Jason R said...

P.S. Or Butler as lb4 (if he's healthy)? Thanks!

SinVin said...

Should I drop Derrick Johnson for Daryl Washington? I already have Posluzny so I'm curious if the upside is worth it. We roster 2 LBs but only start 1.

Peace...

jeramiehieb said...

Did you know about Anthony Spencer's season ending injury before ranking Bruce Carter? If not, how far would you move him up this week?.... and do you see his LB2- value increasing in your REST OF THE SEASON chart?

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@jeramiehieb
I don't see it affecting his value much.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@SinVin
I'd stick with Johnson.

Jason R said...

So how confident are you about starting Daryl Washington this week, fresh off suspension? Word is he's getting tossed in the deep end as far as snaps are concerned. I'm just concerned he's going to take a game or two to knock the rust off.

SinVin said...

Pick 2 ROS.

Posluzny, D Johnson, S Lee, and Keuchly.

Jason R said...

Im Jason R and I didn't post the comment from 5;23 pm. Are there two Jason R's?

Jason R said...

Apparently, yes! lol

Ty Darey said...

Guru,

Which 2 would you start this week?

Kiko, Ellerbe or Ahmad Brooks

Thanks!

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Jason R
Not sure if I would start him as an LB1. But I would feel comfortable with him as my 2nd linebacker.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@SinVin
Kuechly and Posluszny

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Ty Darey
Please refer to my linebacker rankings for this week.

SinVin said...

Thanks again. Confirmed what I have already done. Really appreciate the effort you put into helping others. You should really set up a paypal donation link.

Seriously. Curious what your IDP line up is?

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@SinVin
Thanks, SinVin! I actually do have a PayPal donate button in the upper right hand corner (link here: https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_flow&SESSION=Nsd-cipwWHmr6jRFBYmaSSJ0IHNzavOx97ZExIYemz4ylAFdLhCQlWHQwIq&dispatch=5885d80a13c0db1f8e263663d3faee8d0038486cd0d9a2f3f8e698d26650388a). Wish I got my donations sometimes though as running the entire site+working a 50+ hour a week day job and still trying to have a social life get's quite difficult at times.

I am in a handful of fantasy leagues with unique scoring systems but some of my key IDPs this year have been Kiko Alonso, Tyrann Mathieu, DeAngelo Hall, Charles Woodson, Duke Ihenacho, Justin Houston, JJ Watt, and Osi Umenyiora.

Jos Lep said...

what do u think ? luke kuechly against arizona or dannell ellerbe against baltimore??

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Jos Lep
Please refer to rankings above.

Gregory Thomas said...

For us big play leaguers...
Has Ahmad Brooks assumed a bit of Aldon Smith's role as pass rusher while he is out? He picked up 1.5 sacks last week and seems to be getting a ton of snaps at least for the short term. Thanks as always for your help!

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Gregory Thomas
Brooks was pretty much playing full-time before Smith left the lineup. He's just stepped up his game and has more opportunity now that Smith isn't there to "steal" the sack.

Richard Mazahreh said...

Kind of scared to play Patrick Willis coming off a groin injury...could use a couple games to warm up again. Should I give Willis the benefit of the doubt or am I better off rolling with Woodyard, Butler etc. ? Am I overrating to the injury?

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Richard Mazahreh
I think there is some reason for slight concern. I just really like the matchup this week against the Texans so that's why I would roll with him if he plays.

Richard Mazahreh said...

Thanks again! I'm starting to understand your rankings/positioning a lot more.

Brent Deangelis said...

Willis is looking like a game time decision and I currently have him in my flex slot. If Willis does get the green light, should I still go with him over Woodson (who has a late game).

Ace said...

I have to start 4 out of these 5 this week who should I go with?

Sean Lee, Laurinitis, Posluszny, Bowman, and Erin Henderson

Ben Strauss said...

What are your long term thoughts on Alec Ogletree? Does he have LB1/LB2 potential in a 14-team league I've been offered a trade of Ogletree and Markus Wheaton for Dwayne Bowe and KJ Wright? Ogletree would be an upgrade at LB and him and Wheaton would be very cheap for next few years in Dynasty league.

justinofdoom said...

Derrick Johnson and Freeman over Ogletree this week?

Jason R said...

Dear Guru, I notice you have Briggs ranked 27th this week in a poor match-up. However, he's first in my league in scoring. Would you start him this week in spite of the poor match-up? Thanks!

Smokey said...

Brandon Spikes? Where do you have him on your LB rankings this week?

Gregory Thomas said...

Word is that Fokou will be staying in on dime packages. Does this mean Zach Brown is relegated to run stopping? What a waste of talent!

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@justinofdoom
Yah. I like Ogletree but his numbers have started to dip with James L. coming on strong. Johnson and Freeman are the #1 LBs on their respective teams.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Jason R
I'd still probably start him but just temper your expectations as the Giants run game in pretty much non-existent so he probably won't have a ton of tackle opps which may hurt his numbers.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Smokey
Spikes isn't probably the best play against the spread offense of the Saints this week. He tends to play high snap counts against run heavy teams and his snaps tend to dip against teams like the Lions and Saints. He's probably in the 40-45 range (LB4 range).

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Gregory Thomas
Fokou has been the dime package player all year. They have been playing more dime as of late which is why Brown's numbers have suffered. Consequently, he's fallen into the Mason Foster type of high variance LB3 tier.

Ben Strauss said...

I think you misses me in the last batch.

Thanks. Great work as always.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Ben Strauss
I see Ogletree has a high floor LB2 moving forward. I don't see an Willis/Bowman situation where both him and James L. are elite LBs. The scorekeeper is just too stingy with assists for that.

njj said...

Who would you rather have after this week as your LB5 :
Patrick Willis / Von Miller / Brad Jones

Shane in TX said...

Dear Guru, Shaun Phillips, Denver? Had a good last couple of weeks (last week especially). Is it unreasonable to think that he might have a day against Jacksonville? Or is he too inconsistent?

Shane in TX said...

Oh, and I'd be remiss if I didn't express my thanks for all the hard work that you've done here. It's amazing. Thank you again.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@njj
Willis in balanced and tackle-heavy leagues. Miller in big play leagues.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Shane in TX
Yah, I like Shaun Phillips. Had him in my waiver wire article this week. I like him as a LB3 this week.

Shane in TX said...

@Ryan Sitzmann Mr. Guru, Ah, waiver report. Your work continues to astound. I've been content with your weekly rankings -- I didn't even know there was a waiver wire section. I've only just recently started looking at your every down LBs and the start/sit articles. I apologize for asking about something that you'd already addressed. I'll start to dig a little deeper next time. Have a good one, and keep up the good work. To reiterate what another poster said: thanks for what you do to help other people. Good show, Sir. @dhargo
I like Hawk better this week. Freeman better ROS.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Thoracic Outlet
Bostic good LB3- in the right matchups as he won't play in subpackages in all likelihood. McCarthy will probably play every down and is a high variance LB3 this week due to his poor on the field play as of recent.

Andrew Gaudioso said...

Hey Ryan love the site! Its hard to find good updated idp info and you are one of the best.
Rest of the season (and for dynasty) who do you like better navarro bowman or d Washington? Also where do rank Dqwell jackson for this year and next?

2 pt for tackle
1 pt for assist
4 pt for sacks
4 pt fr int
2pt for forced fumble

Thanks bro

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Andrew Gaudioso
Both very close. I like Bowman in this scoring system. D'Qwell is sliding down my rankings. He's had troubles shedding blocks and is becoming a start mainly in home games where he gets the benefit of the scorekeeper. Really can't make a judgment on next season.

Jason R said...

Here's the deal... I have Freeman and D.Smith on a bye... I am playing Ogletree. D.Washington just got dropped....Do I snag Washington or hang with Ogletree? Obviously Tree has a better tackle average per game but on your rest of season LB's, Washington is a #1 and Tree a #2....what to do?

@Uy
It's matchup based. The Jaguars are horrible matchup for linebackers as their offense can't stay on the field. Hence, why Bowman is lower than usual as well.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@footguy
I think Spikes is the more aggressive, downhill player with a larger fantasy upside. Hightower was playing nearly every down earlier in the season and didn't do much.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@xtjp760
I'd go with Washington over Ogletree.

Hi Ryan, I am wondering why Timmons is ranked so highly this week (i recognize the strong matchup) considering the hand injury in particular. More importantly to me, why is he ranked with LB2 upside ROS being that there is no trend of high tackle numbers so far this season despite a couple of nice matchups, what has changed? Thanks!

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Micky Crestwood
He's got the #1 matchup this week against Oakland and has a good opportunity to rack up tackles and a sack. He has none so far this year and has averaged 3-5 a year for several seasons, so I think he's due. Additionally, he had a 17 tackle game last week and Pittsburgh defense isn't what it use to be, so he's getting more opportunity than he historically has. He's on pace for 136 total tackles. Not bad. Hand issue my cause him to miss a tackle here or there but I still think he's a nice play this week.

Is it time to move on from Kuechly? I hear offenses are making a point to block him out and avoid him and its really shown in the stat box.

What do u think of Vilma??? for rest of the season

need one in my flex. ellerbe, brad jones or cyprien. thanks

it looks like Wagner might be back Monday Night. If so where would you rank him this week and for ROS? Also, do you have any updates if Brad Jones will be back this week? He practice fully at the beginning of the week but scaled down the last 2 days.

Alonso vs saints
Greenway vs packers
Lofton vs bills
Timmons vs raiders

Awards the most points for tackles.

Thank you

Need 2

I have Houston, D Jackson who is the better ROS both on same bye. Tackle heavy extra pt for TLoss and every 5 total tackles. Pt for all other defensive plays. Brad Jones and Freeman both available need two ROS already playing Lee can roster 3. Thanks any information you can provide is appreciated.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@footguy
LB4+ at best. Not a big fan personally.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Brent Deangelis
Jones if he plays. Otherwise Ellerbe if he plays.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Francisco
Wagner is LB3- this week. Refer to my ROS rankings for that question. My gut tells me Jones is going to miss this weeks game.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Alfred Salazar
Please refer to rankings.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@woj326
Pick up Freeman. Jackson is sliding down the ranks and Houston is big play specialist.

Brent Deangelis said...

i also have hawk does that get affected or change anything

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Brent Deangelis
If Jones doesn't play, start Hawk.

woj326 said...

Freeman gone. Should I pick up Jones, Tulloch, or Mathis ROS

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@woj326
Jones

Alfred Salazar said...

Didn't work out for me at all. Lofton got me a few tackles Woodley hasn't done anything the whole game. I just hope Aaron Rodgers could bail me out lol.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Alfred Salazar
Why'd you go with Woodley? He was down in my rankings.

Alfred Salazar said...

Favorable matchup ranking 3

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@Alfred Salazar
Matchup isn't deciding factor. Rankings are. I factor many things into my rankings outside of matchup. That's why I said refer to rankings.

Alfred Salazar said...

Well I am still good to go and won my fantasy and will always use the rankings and not the favorable match up lines. Thanks for your advice. Looking forward to next week

When do u think i should pivk up weatherspoon???

SinVin said...

What has happened to our precious Keuchly? Why?

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@footguy
The week before he's scheduled to come back. Not entirely sure when that will be yet.

Ryan Sitzmann said...

@SinVin
A combination of things: a string of bad matchups, the improved play of the front seven around him, and teams scheming away from him. I think his numbers will turn around eventually but he probably isn't going to be the top 3, 100 solo LB we thought he was going to be. More like LB1- or even LB2+.

Chris Renzulli said...

Guru... thoughts on Jon Bostic as an every down LB for the rest of the season? I see James Anderson getting love, but no mention of Bostic. The guy is a tackle machine and I am in a pt per tackle league.

SinVin said...

Do I dare drop Keuchly for Freeman? Got Posluzny on bye and can only roster 2 LBs.

Nathan Suttmeier said...

Need a bye week fill-in as my third linebacker for Daryl Washington this week. I'm already starting Lavonte David and Chad Greenway as my other two. My options are Jon Bostic or Bobby Wagner. While Wagner has the proven ability, he hasn't produced great numbers when healthy and proved it again Monday night, only putting up 6 tackles after playing every snap. Bostic goes into a matchup against a Green Bay team that runs the ball more than ever now and looks to be the play caller for the D for the week at MLB. Bostic is my pick here, just wondering what you think.

SinVin said...

Oh boy do I need help.

Pick 1: Keuchly, Freeman or Mathis (1.5/tackle, 0.5/asst, 4/sack)

Gregory Thomas said...

Would you put Craig Robertson ahead of Jerrell Freeman this week in a "big play league? (0 points for assisted tackles, 1 pt for solo, 8 pts for sacks/INTs, 4 pts for forced/recovered fumbles). Thanks Guru!

Lee Aaron said...

Bobby Wagner doesn't crack the top 30 in week 9?

Jason R said...

Guru, Would you start D. Johnson and J. Houston this week? I see where they're both highly ranked but I get nervous starting to lbs from the same team. My alternative would be Aaron Williams (its a flex spot). Thank, Jason
