2011 IDP Stockwatch: Week 16

Written By: Bill Edwards

Hello and welcome to this season-long series for IDPGuru.com. In this article, I will discuss a few players whose fantasy value has either gone up or down depending on their performance, role changes, injury concerns, etc. from the previous week. I will try to get this article out every Tuesday for your reading pleasure.

Stock Up

LDE – Mark Anderson – (NEP) – Anderson was tossed in the fire, after Andre Carter went down with a quad injury, had a solid game in a relief effort. Anderson finished with 3 tackles and 2 sacks on Denver’s QB/RB Tim Tebow (had to mention Tebow, sorry). Look for Anderson to be up and down to finish the season and in the playoffs. DL3

RLB – Jordan Senn – (CAR) – Senn has 39 tackles in his last four games with a huge game against the Texans last week, 14 tackles and an INT, Senn has had a good stretch of football the last month or so. LB3-

SS – George Wilson – (BUF) – Wilson has been a stud all year. He was injured for a few weeks and seems to have regained his groove finishing with 6 and 7 tackles the last two weeks. The Bills are out of the playoff picture, so they may rotate Wilson out a bit more to keep him healthy. DB1-

RLB – Ernie Sims – (IND) – Sims is a product of the Colts being pretty bad and being at home last week. He racked up 15 tackles; bringing his latest four game stretch to 30 tackles. He helped the Colts win their first game of 2011. LB4+

Stock Down
CB – Aqib Talib – (TB) –
Talib has been put on IR, ending his season. He finished with 34 tackles 2 INTs that he returned for TDs. He also had a forced fumble and 11 passes defended.

RDE – Andre Carter – (NEP) – Carter was having a great season in New England and was an important piece of their playoff run. Anderson will have to make up the slack now. Carter finished with 52 tackles, 10 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles.

CB – Chris Johnson – (OAK) – Johnson was placed on the reserve/non-football list ending his year. He has been dealing with some family stuff and had not been playing for the last few weeks.

LDT – Ndamukong Suh – (DET) – Suh returned from his two game suspension last week against Oakland. Suh finished with 2 tackles. Oakland ran the ball 22 times and threw it another 40 times. Suh has had a sophomore slump this year. DL4
