In
this installment of the “Start or Sit Rankings,” I have added additional
information that will help you in making your Start/Sit decisions easier. The main intent of this series is to
give you a better idea of who will be a fantasy stud or fantasy dud in each respective week. IDPs are ranked on a scale of 1-5. With 1 being almost non-relevant and
5 being a near shoe-in for a huge game.
IDP Ranking System Key
1
= almost non-existent in the stat column.
2
= will make a play or two, but cannot be trusted for steady numbers.
3
= pretty much your average player, won’t wow you with stats.
4
= will put up above average numbers with some upside.
5
= an absolute beast you can count on for a big game.
D = Listed as doubtful to
play
PR = Listed as Probable
to play
Q = Listed as
questionable to play
OUT = Already ruled out
to play
GTD = Game-Time Decision
TKL CHNC = Tackle Chances
C = Completion Tackle
Chances Per Game
R = Rushing Tackle
Chances Per Game
Pass O & D = Passing
Offense Rankings
Rush O & D = Rushing
Defense Rankings
The Offensive and Defensive Passing
and Rushing Rankings are from Yahoo! Sports. Entering into week
5, these Rankings are beginning
to display a higher confidence level as more information is being populated. This information will allow us to more accurately predict weekly IDP performances based on matchup which is starting to become crucial with bye weeks upon us.
Team
Tackle Chances have been taken from Yahoo! Sports as well. The numbers are
generated using the Offensive Teams Total Completions and Rushes, then dividing
that number by the number of games played. This is a great tool to show you how
many chances per game your IDP will have at a tackle, which for most leagues is one of the more important indicators of potential fantasy success.
Any suggestions for the “Start or
Sit Rankings” are always welcome. As always, please send in some feedback, let
me know what I missed and what I hit on.

Happy Holidays, Ryan!
Pick One for this week (2pts Tackle, 1pt Assist): Richard Marshall, Charles Godfrey, Jaiquawn Jarrett. Also, do you think Jarrett has long-term Dynasty Value?
Ryan,
Stick with Timmons (who has been decent past few weeks) or go with Maualuga (who hasn't done much at all)? I'm concerned that Timmons won't play enough and Rey will out-point him....
LB, that is. Starting in 2012, who do you think holds more value....Jonathan Vilma, Greg Jones (NYG), Chris Chamberlain or Keith Rivers (does he come back healthy and reclaim the MLB or WLB spot?). Thank you!!!!
@DB Dilemma
I'd go with Jarrett and yes I do think he has DB1 potential in dynasty leagues next season.
@Timid about Timmons
Timmons is who I would stick with.
@My Future Fantasy....
None of them hold much value but Vilma holds the most.

***NOTE: Please use a different display name than "Anonymous" when asking advice questions. It gets difficult to discern who I am answering when multiple people post under the same name.
Also, when asking for weekly matchup advice please mention the weekly opponent for each player you are listing. This helps me answer questions more quickly.
In addition, always list your scoring system as my advice will differ depending on the type of system being used.
Lastly, please don't duplicate the same exact post on other pages. We get notified of all comments that are posted and we will make sure to answer questions as quickly as we can. Posting the same question multiple times on different pages just slows the whole process down for everyone.
Thanks!
